CAN NORDHAVN 47 RANGER DO THE GREAT LOOP? She is the best cruising trawler!

At the beginning most every conversation about Ranger I get the following question - Is she a great loop boat? The flybridge issue is now narrowly focused on air draft and one bridge near Chicago. 

• The lowest unavoidable fixed bridge on the Great Loop routeis the BNSF Railway bridge over the Calumet-Saganashkee (Cal-Sag) Channel,near Chicago. It has a clearance of 19 feet, 6 inches. Ranger meets the air draft requirements for the Great Loop! We intentionally selected the non-flybridge version for our 47.  The Great Loop was only one of many reasons where we believe the non-flybridge N47 to be superior to the flybridge version. 

Nordhavn 47 Ranger has a special hinge to lower the mast.

The dry exhaust on Ranger can be disconnected.
